Income Approach

The Income Approach has been labeled the most prominent of the various approaches to value. The Discounted Cash Flow method within the Income Approach is discussed in detail as is the ROPI method which deals with the Residual Operating Income Approach.

Both of these methods will deliver similar results but the uses and outcomes from management decisions based on these two approaches will be different. There are a number of other methods which could be considered within the Income Approach but the DCF method and ROIE method will have the most useful application to the student. The comparisons between the two approaches are presented in detail so that the student can make the best application for each specific assignments.
